In the spirit of the new year, here's a quick blog post about my travels.

The places I went in 2013:

  • Portland, OR
  • Los Angeles, CA
  • San Francisco, CA
  • Sioux Falls, SD
  • Wilmington, NC
  • Detroit, MI
  • Columbia, MO
  • New York, NY
  • Atlanta, GA
  • Chicago, IL
  • Pueblo, CO
  • College Park, MD
  • Richmond, VA
  • Greensboro, NC
  • Bethesda, MD
  • Charlottesville, VA
  • Austin, TX

Reflections:

  • Austin, Texas and Columbia, Missouri were the ONLY places on the list I had never been before. I need to branch out.
  • It's shorter than I expected, but the list doesn't count the number of trips to Detroit or Atlanta or Greensboro (home), in particular (more than 16 trips between the three). It does make it seem improbable that I fit in more than 60 flights last year.
  • I'm so bummed I didn't go abroad at all last year… London is overdue a return visit.  And, I'll have to put somewhere new on the list. Japan? Australia?
  • Also, I'm not sure why I'm avoiding the American South West. I need to visit some friends in New Mexico this year.
  • Finally, 2014 needs more travel for personal purposes.

Where did your travels take you in 2013?  What are your travel resolutions for 2014?  Let me know!
